Cher Bear

As an self-described cinephile, tv & film costumes stay on my mind and inspire many of my looks. Sometimes, I dress head-to-toe in the outfit. Other times, I'll mix up the character's various wardrobe changes, which is what I did here.

For this look, Cher (from Clueless) was my muse. Also, I have to say, Alicia Silverstone (who played the iconic character) is one of the few people I look up to and am continuously inspired by. If you've never been to her blog, I highly recommend it.

In the movie, Cher layers her black and white gym uniform, so I wanted to bring that element to my look, but I felt that it needed more pop. Soo… I wore this gold statement necklace (which is the same necklace from La Panthere only I wore it backwards).

There were also quite a few continuity errors involving rings, so I thought it would be fun to play with that fact, with a big ring.

This look wouldn't have been Cher-like without something from her signature yellow skirt suit. I know she wears plaid, but as if- I worked with what I had and decided a checkered skirt suffices.

If you're a Clueless fan like me, you surely noticed that I'm not wearing knee socks like she would've. I left them at home on purpose, because I felt they would've made the look too costume-y.

*Alicia, if by chance you're reading this, thanks for being you :)
